Brokedown Palace

I was incredibly disappointed to find out from my mother that I once again am having trouble with my passport. Apparently, they finally got around to processing my original application. In all their wisdom, they completed the process and issued me a passport. Except that I already have one. So, I am now carrying an invalid one. Good grief. Additionally, the US government takes no responsibility to get my new one to me. Too bad for me, I guess.

Hi Kristine,
We at the Colorado Division of Mental (& at times,Menial) Health MISS YOU and Michelle!! Life here is just not remotely the same - our environment lacks color and life energy - Beth just agreed with me and asked when you will be back?!!

War is quite a deal - someone can declare them over, agreements are signed, much handshaking and self-congratulations (see G. Bush declaring victory about 3 years ago - he's not a big details guy!) by those in "leadership" positions and yet we humans tend not to respond to the declaration. Our minds might understand the words but our bodies are generally on their own timetable.

Very sorry to hear of your passport troubles - to think we ("royal we" I guess) get mad at immigrants for not abiding by the "system!"

We are very glad to hear you are having adventures and fun - all the best from Curt, PJ, Beth, Captain Safety (he would wish you well if he were here), and me!

Don't scare me with a title like that! I was afraid you really did end up in jail! Btw, my brother said he'd hand-deliver your passport for a small fee. Upon clarification, that "small fee" would be the price of a one-way ticket to Bosnia.

Any new developments with this passport ordeal? Can I keep your laptop if you don't make it back to the states?
